Brave Baby
Charleston, SC based indie quintet Brave Baby is back from a years long hiatus in which all members explored other creative endeavors, started families, and took a general break from their high demanding obligation to one another. They’ve recently released a final pair of singles for their current unnamed twin singles project. “First Time Home Buyer / Difficulture” was released in December 2023 to much praise.
The band is gearing up for the 2024 release of their third album that is still to be named. It is their first time back with a full length record since 2015’s “Electric Friends,” an album that secured them in the hearts and personal playlists of fans for the years since. They have released 9 singles since then but are excited to have a full body of work that has never been released or heard by the public. They are confident these new songs will find a way there as well. Back to an increased frequency of live performances and releases, Brave Baby, is excited to be back doing what they love and sharing it with fans.
During their time apart songwriter/drummer/producer Wolfgang Zimmerman produced and released music for Grammy nominated Band of Horses, Susto, She Returns From War, and The Futurebirds. Singer-Songwriter Keon Masters released a pair of albums, 2019’s “Many Thanks” and 2022’s “No Problem.” Guitarist/songwriter Christian Chidester works as a session player and arranger for many SC based artists and is preparing to release a solo album under the moniker, Harvest Temple Band. Steven Walker (keys) and Jordan Hicks (bass) have both been on the road as members of Charleston contemporaries Susto.
