The Travelin’ Kine

2014-2017 City Paper Americana Artist of the Year winners The Travelin’ Kine are on the move. This hardworking local outfit has logged serious miles honing their sound: a mix of potent songwriting and fiery country chops, doused with a few shots of whiskey. With the help of a seasoned crew of local talent, singer Slaton Glover delivers a musical message of hellfire and heartbreak, leaving it all on the stage at every performance. Releasing their first album in 2016, the Kine’s first single “Change in the Wind” was voted 2015 CPMA Song of the Year. Their new album “Ride” was recorded at Truphonic Studio and is due out this summer. The Travelin’ Kine amounts to some of the best lowcountry music in years. Catch them if you can!

Back to Business

It’s been a difficult two years for everyone. For us, we’d seen a years worth of work recording a new album and preparing for the release go down the drain. Our anticipated release date kept getting pushed further and further back we eventually just shelved the idea until things turned back to normal. While things still aren’t normal, our bookings have been filling up over the past few weeks. We can finally justify putting a plan together to finally release this album that we have put so much work and effort into. Over the next few weeks we’ll be gearing up for what is going to be a very busy spring and summer, updating our website and social media, and yes- setting a date for the release of our three year old “new” album. So stay tuned for the updates and be sure to catch us in a town near you!

* Show is 21+. Attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent & will be subject to a $5 surcharge. The surcharge must be paid in cash at the door on the day of the event.
