Maggie Koerner

Maggie Koerner is a singer-songwriter, actress & activist from New Orleans by way of Shreveport, Louisiana. Her music, which fuses indie rock, soul, & pop showcases her remarkable vocal talent and emotive songwriting.

Maggie gained attention with her self-produced sophomore album, “Neutral Ground” (2012), which highlighted her unique blend of genres and lyrical depth. She’s also known for her energetic stage presence and has shared the stage & collaborated with prominent acts such as Marcus King, David Shaw, The Revivalists, The Head & the Heart, Jessica Simpson, Galactic, Charles Bradley, Fink, Gregg Allman, Gov’t Mule, & Widespread Panic.

Her 2015 EP, “Dig Down Deep,” produced by Fink, further solidified her reputation as a rising star in the music scene. In 2019 & 2020, a series of singles were released including the searing “If I Die”, which was featured in ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” “The Bartholomew Songs,” Koerner’s latest LP was produced by Rob Kirwan (Hozier) & released in March 2022 independently.

In October 2022, Maggie spent a month in Louisville, KY filming and starring in the independent film, “Heart Strings” (2024) alongside fellow musicians A.J. Haynes (The Seratones), Michelle Colón (Malentina) & Carly Johnson.

In October 2024, Koerner released a song she cowrote with Naughty Professor & producer Andrew Campanelli (The Revivalists) called “Wings to Fly.” In November 2024, she will release her version of “O Holy Night.” Koerner plans to release 2 singles with longtime collaborator & friend, David Shaw in the Spring of 2025, & she is currently recording a new album to be released Spring 2025.

When she is not touring or volunteering at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center teaching songwriting to the students at Travis Hill School, she is at home in the Garden District of New Orleans with her dog, Tom, who is a therapy dog for the Visiting Pet Program regularly providing therapy at nursing homes and hospitals.
