Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, Magenta Sunshine laces danceable rhythms, horn-driven soundscapes, and poetic lyricism into genre-defying arrangements. This sextet synthesizes well-crafted songwriting into a brass inspired, funky psychedelia suited for lively dance halls and intimate listening rooms alike.

Magenta Sunshine is a brass-infused sextet built around meticulously crafted songwriting. Elements of blues and folk intersect with modern jazz and draw inspiration from influences as divergent as Dizzy Gillespie, The Beatles, Woody Guthrie, and the Gorillaz. This genre-fluid band has been carving out new songs since 2018, and just released a full-length album entitled Serendipity, which is out now on all streaming platforms.
