Olivia Jean, Detroit born n’ bred, current resident of Nashville, TN, first staked her flag with the gothic garage rock upstarts The Black Belles in 2010 and quickly set herself apart from the pack, performing as a side musician to a varied group of stylistically diverse musicians on a variety of instruments, culminating with her debut solo release.
Bathtub Love Killings in 2014. Bathtub Love Killings was produced by Jack White with Olivia Jean composing and playing every instrument on the album. The album was an exciting and concise statement with a controlled vision of where rock n roll can go in these modern pop dominated times. Her latest, Night Owl, takes this vision even further by placing Olivia behind the control desk in the role of producer. Surf guitar, 60s Girl Group harmonies, and punk commingle into a collection of songs depicting heartache, revenge, guilt, and frustration — It’s “Bubblegum Garage” at its best.
Jared Petteys & The Headliners:
Red hot rockabilly infused with electric blues and stinging surf sounds
BIO: Jared Petteys is a self taught guitarist and vocalist that picked up guitar by ear at age 8. He began his music career while serving in the Army in Savannah Ga. His act consisted of electric blues heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan.
He graduated from Dark Horse Institute in Franklin TN after studying audio engineering and music business to help propel his self managed career. For the classes final project, he cowrote and composed an original song with Nashville songwriter, Daniel Johnson, “When She Walked Away”, his debut single, taking elements of the blues and surf style and meshed them with his lifetime love of rockabilly.
Jared moved to Charleston SC seeing a wide open opportunity to spread his original music and open his business, Retro-Sonic Records & Productions, to support his band and dream. Quickly he got the attention of the city and Rockabillaque producer, Simon Canton with his high energy, raw vocals, and jumpin’ rhythm section. Since then he has played major venues across the city and played with acts such as western swing kingpin Wayne “The Train” Hancock and Third Man Records Artist, Olivia Jean.
Jared is currently recording his debut album in Charleston, SC.
