Meredith Foster

Meredith Foster is a Charleston-based singer & songwriter known for her honest lyrics, rooted sound, and soulful storytelling. A native of Wildwood, Missouri, Foster began playing shows at age 13 and started writing songs at 14. She relocated to Charleston, South Carolina after 4 years in Mississippi and has played venues all across the country. She was recently featured at the Tough Enough To Wear Pink Songwriter Festival in Crested Butte, Colorado alongside the songwriting legends Dean Dillon, Buddy Cannon, Marla Cannon, and others.

She released her second single “Tattooed Music Man” in September of 2022, and her debut EP is set to release later this fall.

“Foster’s music conveys a fresh Americana sensibility melded with poetic narrative lyricism. It’s country in the sense that it relies heavily on storytelling, but also because of Foster’s smoldering twang. You can feel the old-school roots — it’s less the bedazzled Instagram country of today, and more the folksy, mournful country of the classics.” – Charleston City Paper.
