Artimus Pyle

Artimus Pyle is best known for being the drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1974-1991 with whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Shane Pruitt, currently of the Marshall Tucker Band, has delighted audiences for the past decade-plus with the Shane Pruitt Band, playing some of the Southeast’s most well known festivals. Sam Robinson, Will Bagley and Michael Kinchen have visited the Pour House several times with Marvelous Funkshun, most recently performing behind Eric Gales.

Marvelous Funkshun

Featuring soaring guitar and pedal steel over a heavy groove, Marvelous Funkshun has toured the Southeast heavily since 2014. The live shows are a dynamic, foot-stomping get down and “The Funkshun”, as fans have been known to call them, have shared the stage with a diverse group of artists including George Porter Jr. of the Meters, Eric Gales, Roosevelt Collier, Perpetual Groove, Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy), Alan Evans (Soulive), Kofi Burbridge and the legendary Snoop Dogg.

Combining the iconic talents of legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle, and the infectious vocal and guitar licks of son Chris Pyle, PYLETRIBE pushes the creative boundaries with their percussion influenced style dubbed “southern fried tribal boogie.”

Along with Josh Chassner, PYLETRIBE has quickly established their live shows as a ‘must see’ for fans of all ages.
